Drop-In Session

// book your seat (limited) via booking/drop-in

A Drop-In Session is the most popular way to experience Rune Sauna.

Each session provides 15 seats. Thats why it's important to book in advance to make sure everybody fits in. We don't overbook the sauna to ensure a pleasant sweat for everyone.

One session starts every full hour and always ends at the following.

Most people are heating up 3 times with a jump in the Förde in between to cool down. But during a Drop-In you are 100% free to choose your own rythm.

Soundbathing & Mediation
every second Thursday

// book your seat (limited) via booking/klangmeditaion

We are truly honored that we are now able to upgrade our thursday night meditation with the power of soundbathing.

Our experienced sound medicine practitioners will help you to deepen your mediative experience.

The meditation ceremony helps to manage an increasingly stressfull and hectic life.

YOGA & SAUNA starting in November again

Whats the social aspect of Sauna and why do we have a strict Textile Policy?

Sauna brings old and new friends together.

In Finland Saunas are social places, where you hang out and clean your body and mind. The German Sauna Culture built up a different concept that is focused on Wellness and SPA. It is considered a luxury.

The Nudity in German Saunas also doesn't really allow an atmosphere of talking. In Finland it is totally okay to sweat in your bathing suits as it is in Norway and Sweden.
No matter if people have experienced any kind of traumas in a public sauna (e.g. sexual harassment) or they are just from a different culture, Rune Sauna wants to be place where everybody can feel safe and comfortable, a place to enjoy a chat and to have an exciting experience.

Is sauna good for you?

Yes, it is!

Spending time in the Sauna regularly (2-4 x a week for 30-45 min) has a lot of benefits on your body and mind.  The heat raises your heart rate, widens the vessels and increases circulation.

Several studies show that regular sauna bathing can prevent cardiovascular diseases, reduce symptoms of asthma, enhance your athletic performance, reduce arthritis pain, lower the risk of Alzheimer's, improve sleep and has an incredible positive effect on your skin.

Why is jumping into the cold sea better than taking a warm shower?

People living in cities don't really get to spend time in nature because there is not much left of it in urban areas. This has plenty of negative effects like being stressed out and losing of interest in preserving nature. Sauna and the ability to jump into the Baltic Sea during every weather gets us reconnected with the outdoors. Our body needs to adjust to the extremes and changes into survival mode through releasing hormones like endorphins that give you a natural high and make you feel happy. The cold water also reduces pain and enhances all the effects on your body of sauna.
___________

The Heat of the Sauna and the cold of the Baltic Sea is the perfect workout for your vessels and your heart muscle. It makes your body more resistent against stress in any forms.
